It's Not All About Brain Supplements

Today I want to also talk about how Nootropic Games or Cognitive Enhancing games can be push the upper limits of our neurology or Neuroplasticity.

In this article, some examples of games that increase brain power are being cited along with their specific benefits to our overall brain function. This includes the following:

1.     Uno
This is a card game for 2 or more players that can be aged up or down and is not only excellent for pre-schoolers but also to the general population as well. It specifically teaches the player on paying attention and maintaining focus. It can also build up logic, reasoning, and strategy.

2.     Bingo
Bingo has been a popular game for centuries now and is being played by people of all ages. Moreover, it can be of great benefit for young children who do not know their letters or numbers yet. This game enhances listening and memory skills.

3.     Dominoes
Today, Dominoes are not only played for recreational activities but also, it is now played at a competitive level similar to poker. The use of dominoes in a domino show has been gaining its popularity at present time. With this game, it helps you develop critical thinking and strategy.

4.     Monopoly
Monopoly is a popular board game that has been played by many generations now. It originated from the United States in 1903 and was developed to demonstrate that an economy that rewards wealth creation is better than one in which monopolists work under a few constraints. This game utilizes cards, dice, small figures of properties and infrastructures, money, and tokens. In general, monopoly helps you practice saving, budgeting, financial planning, and helps you adapt to sudden changes.

5.     Scrabble

Scrabble, a popular board game invented in 1938 by an American architect Alfred Musher Butts, is played by two to four players. Each player should compose a word in every turn and letters should be connected from one word to another. This game aims to enhance the individual’s reading, vocabulary, spelling, math, and  problem-solving strategy. Also, it boosts attention span and long term memory.


I want to summarize and say, yes, these are simple and straight forward games to play that you may already have, we will dive into deeper and more sophisticated games that can help such as N-back, Luminosity, etc very soon.
